I can still remember the very first time I devoured a crepe. It was in a French Baker branch in SM Mega Mall. I ordered one savory and one sweet crepe. Yes, greedy indeed but it was all worth it. it wasn’t love at first sight (or smell) because I intended to buy a croissant and an apple pie. I just suddenly felt like idling and so we met. Crepe and I, I mean. I learned that day what destiny taste like.
Pink Toasty Crepe
(makes about 20 ++ crepes)
4 eggs
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups milk
2 cups Maya Original Hotcake Mix
1 tsp strawberry essence
Beat eggs slightly, then add butter, milk and hotcake mix. Stir until mixture is free from lumps.Heat an 8-inch non-stick pan or flat skillet
and lightly brush with oil. Using a small ladle (approx. 1/4 cup), pour the mixture into the pan. Tilt from side to side until it covers the pan.
Cook until set, flip to cook other side. Do the same for the remaining mixture. I brushed the pan with oil ever so lightly before cooking a piece.
Top with seedless frosted grapes before serving.
