This is a valid excuse, as days pass by, it takes longer to post using my internet provider. No matter how they boast on having the widest coverage yadda-yadda with fast and connection and even more yadda-yadda, it’s still not enough. Really. It took me 5 days and an accumulated 240 hours of paid internet usage to post one little article. I however, have to swallow that and just well, take it or leave it. There is no other choice (because if there is, I surely need not complain anymore.) That is why it has become necessary for me to have my computer within my reach and always turned on (when I’m awake AND at work) to keep up.
It is a valid excuse, yes? No matter it’s still an excuse. Gah! What to do… I’m not sure I’m willing to share this but I live just about a 60 minute ride (public transport including waiting time) to a town where the internet connection is as fast as need that I can download as much as six 3 minute music videos in 40 minutes and that includes surfing, searching, typing and idling by. Since I’m not so keen in to using the public transport that much I usually wait for anyone else in the house to go to town (in our really clean, fresh smelling and very comfortable car) so I could hitch a ride to and from. I can’t do that anymore since I started managing a busy mini- grocery. I get up as early as 5 am (usually sleep before 12) and open the store throughout the week. Yes, Sunday to Saturday. It’s sad really. Back then, I can afford to stay late (since that’s when the internet traffic is a tad faster) and sleep the rest of the day off. Sad, isn’t it?
But since I’m a very patient person ( super patient according to one lady named J___ who thinks that waiting 2 hours for Facebook to allow a log-in is not something a sane person would do) it’s still worth my while. It really is. After I’ve completed the tasks I planned to do, no matter how many days it took, I’m all fine, happy and giddy afterwards.
Then the cycle starts once more.
Moving on, I’d like to post this as the most fitting entry, The Egg wrap bento filler.

Egg wrap (with asparagus tips and carrot sticks)
2 large eggs
5-8 asparagus tips
5-8 carrot sticks
Salt and pepper to taste
A dash of cayenne(optional)*
In a bowl, whisk the eggs seasoned with salt and pepper. Heat a pan with a little oil and make an omellete. Slide omellete onto plate and cut in half, lengthwise. Fill each half with the asparagus tips and carrot sticks. Tuck into the bento box and you’re good to go.
*The cayenne is just something I’ve come to embrace real tight lately, I add a dash of it if almost everything.
