On day 4, I opted to use up the left over pie crust and turn it into a chocolate pop tart. By this time, I realized I have to bake or make something that gets consumed within a couple of days at least to free up some space in the fridge and in our stomach.
This a very easy and quick desert to make.
Chocolate Pop Tart
You will need:
leftover pie crust
chocolate pieces
Pre-heat oven to 375 F.
Roll out dough for a pie crust. Cut into rectangles. Place a bite sized piece of chocolate in the middle of the half of the rectangular dough, like so,
Brush corners with egg wash, cover, then using a fork, seal the edges. Repeat with the rest. Arrange into a baking tray and brush the top with egg wash again.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
